Last week, I attended the Empowered Moms event in Metro Detroit. After a season of focusing on home, family, and the work that often happens behind the scenes, this experience served as a powerful reminder—there is something deeply valuable about gathering with other women walking a similar path.
Being in that room, listening, sharing, and connecting, offered a kind of fuel that doesn’t always come through screens or social feeds.
Meaningful Moments with Purpose-Driven Women
Throughout the day, I had the opportunity to speak with moms, entrepreneurs, and visionaries from all different backgrounds:
– Women attending for the first time, curious about community
– Returning attendees excited to build on what they previously experienced
– Future speakers preparing to share their wisdom
– Local business owners eager to collaborate and expand their reach
Each conversation brought its own spark. These weren’t surface-level chats. They reflected a hunger for connection, clarity, and shared values.
Aligned and Intentional
Lately, I’ve been in a season of deeper discernment—focusing on my health, my household, and what God is asking of me next. Attending this event offered alignment. It reflected the very heartbeat of the spaces I’ve been building for years within the Wellness Warrior Collective—where we gather not only to grow, but also to ground ourselves and move forward with intention.
What’s Ahead: Continued Community & Collaboration
Emily—the founder of Empowered Moms and creator of the More than Mom community —continues to cultivate a powerful space for mothers who are growing through every season. I’m grateful to collaborate with her and expand these conversations beyond the event itself.
Together with Emily and Melissa Douglas, we also co-host the Detroit Mastermind Club—a space created for Christian business owners who are walking boldly in faith, business, and community. These gatherings are rooted in truth, connection, and calling.
From dinners to workshops, we will continue to create space for meaningful dialogue, soul-led strategy, and relationships that grow beyond the table.
