We Marched for Our Children. For Our Families. For the Future. On a day that will forever be etched in our hearts, thousands wellness warriors—including parents, healthcare professionals, and conscious consumers—gathered to take a stand. We marched to Kellogg’s headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan, demanding accountability for the harmful chemicals still found in many of their U.S. food products.
And nearly one year later, I'm honored to share once again share the photos that I captured. You can feel the spirit, strength, and solidarity of that day.
Why We Marched
This was more than a protest—it was a unified message to food industry giants: Our children deserve better.
Despite public promises made by Kellogg’s in 2015 to remove artificial colors and harmful additives like BHT from their cereals, those same ingredients are still being served to American families nearly a decade later. Shockingly, these toxic ingredients have already been removed from the same products overseas.
We showed up in person, side by side with FoodBabe, Hu Kitchen founder Jason Karp, Common, Dr. Will Cole, Dr. Josh Axe, The Earth Diet, and many more to deliver 417,000+ signed petitions to Kellogg’s doorstep. Though we were met with locked doors, our message rang loud and clear: We will not be silent.
The Hidden Dangers in Our Food
Consumer Reports uncovered widespread contamination of our food supply with phthalates and bisphenols—plastic-related chemicals that are endocrine disruptors and possible carcinogens. These toxins were found in fast food, canned foods, and even organic brands like Annie’s.
The risks are real: exposure to these chemicals has been linked to hormonal imbalances, reproductive issues, cancer, obesity, and neurodevelopmental disorders. These aren't just "trace chemicals." They're showing up in the foods we feed our kids every day.
